Board of Directors
The Board of Directors represents the people of the District by determining and requiring appropriate, efficient, and effective performance from the hospital and staff to accomplish the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The 5 members of the board take their responsibilities seriously, recognizing that the well-being of our patients and the community is the ultimate goal. The Board is dedicated to serving its residents in a manner that promotes the achievement of the hospital's mission, vision, and values through integrity, professionalism, and advocacy, and the implementation of best practices that are based on industry standards. We want to ensure the quality of care that is safe, effective and appropriate.
Election-at-Large
The selection of Board members is through an election at large within the District and is consolidated with other statewide elections. The candidates receiving the highest number of votes for the positions to be filled are elected. Board members each serve for a period of four years. The community Board generally meets every 4th Wednesday of the month at 5:00 PM at City Hall.
Day-to-Day Management
The Board delegates the day-day management of the hospital to a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who is qualified through experience and education. The CEO and Board's combined role is to ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations in order to maintain current licensure while promoting the growth and the financial sustainability of the facility in a changing health care environment.
